A detailed account of 20-year field trials with four levels of P or K top-dressed annually to established red clover-timothy leys on low-moor soils. The results are discussed under separate headings dealing with the effects of dressings on hay yields, stands and botanical composition of the ley, development of different grass species, chemical composition of the hay, and with the influence of fertilization on the soil.
