In the first of 3 experiments, here described, the earlier the cane was planted and the later the sweet potatoes were interplanted the greater were the number of millable canes and their yield. In the second experiment significant differences in cane yield were caused by the type of sweet potato used, the most suitable having a short creeping habit and maturing early. In the third experiment 2 spacings were compared, combined with interplanting.
