Abstract
Composition was studied of 150 individual and pooled milk samples taken periodically (every 15 days until the 2nd month of lactation and then every 30 days) from Pirdop sheep milked 2 or 3 times a day. Mean results for morning, noon and evening milkings are as follows (twice daily milkings in brackets): butterfat percentage, 5.86 (7.54)%, 7.28 (-)% and 7.65 (8.27)%; T.S., 16.39 (18-47), 17.83 (-) and 18.10 (19.29)%; casein, 3.29 (3.46), 3.43 (-) and 3.35 (3.86)%.
