Contributions to the knowledge of the genus Cylindrooarpon Wr. I. Cylindrocarpon radicicola Wr. as a pathogen of Cyclamen

Phytopath. Z, 26: 2, 161-170

During the last two years Cylindrocarpon radicicola has been isolated from 14 specimens of cyclamen submitted to the Biological Institute, Berlin-Dahlem, mostly under suspicion of infection by Fusarium oxysporum f. cyclaminis, from various regions of north Germany and in one case from Sweden. The fungus occurs primarily on young plants during the winter and early spring, the optimum temperature for its growth being 22 degrees C.
