Chapter 13,999

Control of Annual and winter annual grass weeds

Dunham, R.S.

Res. Rep. 14th N. Cent. Weed Contr. Conf, USA, 45-64

Accession: 013998546

The results are reported of extensive trials, mostly in Canada, on the control of wild oats, particularly with EPTC, which, in most cases, gave excellent results when used at rates ranging from 2 to 15 lb./ac. The crops most resistant to EPTC included flax and field peas, while wheat and barley were very susceptible to injury. Results with CDAA were variable and suggested that this herbicide works best under warm conditions.
