Cytotaxonomical studies on Vicia cracca L. and V. tenuifolia Roth. I. Chromosome numbers and karyotype evolution

Cytotaxonomical studies on Vicia cracca L. and V. tenuifolia Roth. I. Chromosome numbers and karyotype evolution

Hereditas. Lund, 47: 81-110

The number and morphology of the somatic chromosomes were examined in 73 samples of V. cracca and 14 samples of V. tenuifolia. In V. cracca, three chromosome races were found with 2n = 12, 14 and 28 respectively. All strains of V. tenuifolia had 24 chromosomes.
