As in the previous season activated sludge produced the best Bermuda grass turf. Fe chlorosis of centipede grass was seriously aggravated by sodium nitrate and ammonium nitrate, but corrected by ferrous ammonium sulfate. In general, 1.5 lb. N per 1, 000 sq. ft. produced better turf than a 4.5-lb. rate, induced less chlorosis and rendered the grass more winter hardy.
