Six grade Jersey cows were fed out of doors on pasture, and samples were taken from night and morning milkings on 3 successive days to give a composite sample of cream. These samples and samples of plasma were taken at weekly, and later fortnightly, intervals from about one month after lactation began and continued to the end. One cow lactated for only 100 days.
