Field investigations on the climatic resistance of the carnation Tortricid (Cacoecimorpha pronubana) and the possibility of its establishment Germany. Part II. Tests on climatic resistance and assessment of the possibility of establishment

Z. angew. Ent, Hamburg, 52: pt. 1, 1-38

In this further part of a series on the possibility of the establishment of Cacoecimorpha (Tortrix) pronubana (Hb.) in Germany following its introduction on carnations from Italy, an account is given of investigations carried out in small field cages near Cologne in 1954-57. Three generations developed per year (as compared with four on the Italian Riviera), but some larvae of the second overwintered and did not give rise to adults until the following spring or summer.
