Formulae and nomograms for determining recovery % in sawing logs.

Starting with certain basic assumptions as to method of log breakdown, saw used, taper of logs etc., formulae are derived for calculating the maximum recovery % from first-quality logs of (1) coniferous species, (2) broadleaved species (excluding Beech and Quercus cerris), and (3) Beech.
