Honey bees and bumble bees as an aid to pollination in breeding establishments

For the selfing or crossing of a few plants in small isolation chambers, either individually caught bumble-bee queens or miniature hives of honey bees may be used. The construction and management of the miniature hives, which may also be used for the pollination of large groups of plants in larger chambers or warm greenhouses, are outlined.
