Improving the assortment of dessert-grape varieties.

Introduction and breeding of new varieties have prolonged the period of production of fresh grapes in the Crimea to about four months. Tajfi Rozovyj and several other varieties are said to produce grapes of higher quality there than at the place of their origin. Three varieties bred at the Magarac Institute are described.
