Sowing in the same rows or in alternate rows, 1 m. apart, was recommended for maize/soyabean mixtures. For sowing in the same row, 7-12 kg of maize seed with 30-50 kg soyabean seed/ha were suitable for most parts of Romania. For alternate rows, 4-7 maize plants/m of row and 30-50 soyabean plants/m were suitable.
