From data obtained for the Fl and F2 generations of crosses involving 16 varieties, the following conclusions were among those drawn: - "1. The spreading habit of growth was incompletely dominant over semi-spreading or intermediate habit in the F1 generation and the F2 population exhibited a segregation in the ratio of 63 spreading + intermediate: 1 erect indicating a trigenic difference between spreading and intermediate habits of growth.
