Heritability estimates of plant height for the F2, F3 and F4 generations grown in different years and the F3 and F4 grown the same year were high. Multiple regression analyses of the length of the first and third internodes below the peduncle as independent variables and plant height as the dependent variable were highly significant. Resistance to races 11 and 15B of stem rust, in F3 lines, was dominant and inherited in the ratio of 15: 1 and 63: 1 respectively.
