Inheritance of resistance to Fusarium wilt in Upland Cotton

When Half and Half (susceptible to F.) was crossed with Delfos 425 or Coker 100 Ga (both resistant) at La State Univ., and the progeny grown in soil infested with the wilt fungus and the reniform nematode, infection was evaluated by vascular discoloration and leaf symptoms. The F1 plants graded into every class. It is suggested that wilt resistance should be considered as a quantitative character although the frequency distributions in the F2 and F3 were not entirely typical.
