Inheritance of time of flowering in Lotus corniculatus.

Inheritance of time of flowering in Lotus corniculatus.

Diss. Abstr, 23: 63-1582, 2294-95

Derivatives of Empire x Viking crosses provided the initial materials. Analysis of the F1 progenies indicated significant genetic differences between the three early-flowering parents and between the four late-flowering parents. All F1 progeny means showed an improvement in earliness over the respective midparental values. In the F2, trans-gressive segregation for earliness and lateness occurred and the F2 means were later than the F1means.
