In crosses of the varieties Nepal and Munsing, which offer contrasting expressions of the characters studied, monogenic inheritance was indicated for the characters hulled vs. naked grains (N-n), black vs. yellow spike (B-b) and hooded vs. awned lemma (H-h), the first-mentioned character-expression being the dominant one in each case.
