Inheritance studies in the common chillies Capsicum annuum in West Pakistan

Inheritance studies in the common chillies Capsicum annuum in West Pakistan

W. Pak. J. agric. Res, 1: 124-38

The inheritance of leaf size and pigmentation of different stem and flower parts was investigated in seven crosses. Leaf size, studied only in the one interspecific cross included, viz. C. annuum x C. frutescens, was inherited quantitatively; the presence of at least five genes is postulated assuming that all genes are additive and independent.Blue anthers are dominant over yellow and conditioned by a single gene.
