Further studies of resistance to leaf rust (Puccinia triticina) in the wheat vars. Uruguay 1064, Chinese Spring 1806, and Kenya 744 revealed in the 2 first-mentioned identical factors (Cw1, Mt2) for mature plant resistance. Uruguay also possesses a factor for physiological resistance and Kenya 744 one dominant for moderate resistance (Kb3) to race U 12.
