Inheritance studies, including reaction to certain foliage diseases, in Alfalfa

Inheritance studies, including reaction to certain foliage diseases, in Alfalfa

Diss. Abstr, 19: 1, 12-13

At the University of Minnesota 11 lucerne clones, single crosses (including reciprocals), the open-pollination progeny of 10, and 9 commercial vars. were tested in the field for reaction to the prevalent leaf and stem diseases and for winter-survival.Highly significant differences in reaction to Pseudopeziza medicaginis were noted in all except the open-pollinated; a partial dominance of resistance was indicated.
