Inherited reactions to the inhibition of egg laying in the fowl.

Data were obtained from Leghorns and Australorps hatched in 1960 and 1961. In autumn-winter and in summer, the time taken to lay an egg after it was palpated was significantly greater for Australorps than for Leghorns.
