Groups of 12 Wistar rats of about 125 g, fed on stock diet of whole wheat and green vegetables, were given subcutaneous injections 3 times a week of distilled water, or 1% nicotinamide solution, or 0.1% diphosphopyridine nucleotide solution; one week after the first injection all had a subcutaneous injection of 3 mg methylcholanthrene in 0.4 ml olive oil.
