Of 593 samples of commercial certified milk from 31-35 producers examined between Jan. 1961 and April 1962 for the presence of inhibitory substances, 13 from 11 farms were positive. Total counts ranged from 2, 650 to 380, 000/ml. and coliform counts from 0 to 70/ml.
