Experiments are described on the inhibitory effect on oviposition by house-flies (Musca domestica vicina Macq.) of some compounds known primarily for their effect against the eggs of mites. The fly strain used was normally susceptible to insecticides. Among the compounds tested, chlorbenside and tetradifon (Tedion) were outstanding.
