Inhibition of root development on petioles and hypocotyls of dwarf bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) by kinetin

Inhibition of root development on petioles and hypocotyls of dwarf bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) by kinetin

Physiol. Plant, 13: 659-63. bibl. 24

Kinetin, applied at 0.1, 1.0 and 10.0 mg./l., inhibited root formation and, on petioles but not hypocotyls, induced callus formation. When it was later withheld, normal roots originated from the callus.
