Inhibition of spore germination of Alternaria tenuis by sulfur dioxide

Phytopathology. 52: 729

The amount of SO2 gas required to prevent spore germination of A. tenuis (causing grape decay in storage) depended on humidity and temperature. Wet spores were more sensitive to SO2 than were dry spores.
