Abstract
The symbiotic patterns between S100 Nomark white clover and indigenous strains of Rhizobium trifolii causing its nodulation were investigated. The only ineffective strains isolated were from wild white clover plants from unimproved mountain land. There was a large variation in host response of S100 Nomark when inoculated with a single bacterial strain. Time taken for nodule formation after inoculation ranged from 4 to 16 days.
