Investigations on paper chromatographic separation of serum lipoproteins

Investigations on paper chromatographic separation of serum lipoproteins

Naturwissen- schaften. 45: 241

Serum, 0.03 ml., is chromatographed by the descending technique on a strip of Whatman No. 3 paper impregnated with a veronal-oxalate-citrate buffer of pH. 8. 5, with a mixture of the buffer and isopropanol as the mobile phase. After 3 hr. the chromatogram is dried at 70 degrees to 80 degrees C. and the lipoproteins are detected by a solution of Sudan black in methanol.
