Feeding trials with a total of 72 veal calves are described. Feeding all whole milk resulted in the highest weight gains and optimum carcass quality; feeding 100 1. whole milk + dried skim-milk resulted in satisfactory weight gains but lower quality carcass; feeding 150 1. whole milk + fresh skim-milk gave the least satisfactory weight gains and carcass quality.
