The highest nutrient doses exerting a positive effect on hop yields were 140 kg/ha each of N, P2 O5 and K2 O. Highest yields were obtained on alluvial soil and degraded chernozem (pH 6-7.2) containing 18-25 mg/100 g available P2 O5, 40-60 mg K2 O, 60-90 mg MgO and 350-600 mg CaO.
