Abstract
Three different sets of symptoms were observed in 1955 on orange and lemon trees growing in the Gargano region of Italy. The most widely prevalent condition was characterized by small leaves with the blades rolled inwards at the edges, while the leaf itself was curved backwards; the internodes were shortened and the foliage had a ' trussed up' appearance. The leaves bore interveinal, chlorotic, pale green to lemon yellow or white spots.
