Natural enemies of Trypodendron lineatum Oliv.

Natural enemies of Trypodendron lineatum Oliv.

Folia zool, Prague, 9: pt. 4, 309-322

Trypodendron lineatum (Ol.) is an important pest of pine trees in Czechoslovakia. Earlier records of natural enemies of this bark-beetle are reviewed, and the results are given of investigations carried out in eight localities in 1956-58. The principal predators were Pterostichiis oblongopunctatus (F.) and P. burmeisteri Heer, which attacked the adults; they were most active at night.
