New twists in African violets

New twists in African violets

Mich. Flor, 334, 24 p

Propagation. Bottom heat of 70-75 degrees F. with an air temperature of 65 degrees F. has advanced rooting of several saintpaulia varieties by some weeks. Blue Fairy Tale plants were grown more rapidly from seed than from cuttings. Fertilizers. For cuttings a complete liquid fertilizer at half-strength should be given every 2 weeks from the appearance of roots until potting up. Seedlings require 2 feeds of liquid fertilizer, one at germination and a second 2 weeks later.
