Cowper supports McCullough's (1957) theory that a Bulinus (Bulinus) truncatus rohlfsi-compatible and a B. (Physopsis) globosuscompatible strain of Schistosoma haematobium can be differentiated Cowper's observations were made in Nigeria, those of McCullough in Ghana. The changes in the liver and spleen of mice experimentally infected with S. haematobium from B. (B.) truncatus rohlfsi are briefly described and illustrated and compared with those in the liver of mice infected with S. mansoni in Egypt.
