Nutritive value of stargrass Cynodon nlemfuensis pure and in association with leucaena Leucaena leucocephala at different ages during year

Pure stargrass associated with leucaena at 28, 35 and 42 days of cutting were evaluated in Cauca Valley, Colombia. Divided subparcels were used in two dry seasons and two rainy seasons. The crude protein (CP) of associated vs. pure stargrass was 14.48 and 11.90, 13.60 and 10.98 and 11.68 and 9.67% at 28, 35 and 42 days, respectively. These values for leucaena at the three cutting days were 29.88, 29.31 and 29.01%, respectively.
