Observations on the biology and habits of Antrocephalus sp., the pupal parasite of Corcyra cephalonica Stainton

Mysore agric. J, Bangalore 35(2): 80-85

The following is based on the authors' summary. Antrocephalus sp. is recorded parasitizing the pupae of Corcyra cephalonica (Stnt.) in the laboratory in India and occurring in considerable numbers, particularly during certain seasons. The life-cycle of this Chalcidid from egg to adult lasts 21-30 days, and male and female adults live for 5-2 and 4.4 days, respectively, with honey as food.
