Much of this information on mineral deficiencies in the pasture soils of Victoria has already been noticed from other sources. Recent pasture trials conducted by the Department of Agriculture showed that most Victorian soils are deficient in phosphorus, while in a series of trials at 56 centres in 1953 most soils with long established pastures and good response to superphosphate were found to contain sufficient trace elements.
