Recombinations in Actinomyces aureofaciens.

Recombinations in Actinomyces aureofaciens.

Antibiotiki (Antibiotics). 7: 685-89

A number of biochemical mutants were produced from strain LS-B2201 by means of ultraviolet irradiation, ethyleneimine, or a combination of these two agents. Prototrophs were obtained by combining mutants differing in their aminoacid requirements. Most of the prototrophs were unstable and segregated readily into the initial biochemical mutants.
