Recommendations for limiting the spread of sugarcane mosaic in early planted treated cane for control of RSD

It is suggested that heat treatment for the control of ratoon stunting disease in sugar cane should be applied first to the varieties having greater resistance to mosaic, in order to offset the larger exposure to infection by the latter disease which follows from early planting.
