Recommendations for the control of mosaic disease of Sugarcane in Louisiana for 1960

Prepared jointly by pathologists of the La Agric. Exp. Sta. and the U.S. Dept Agric., Sugarcane Field Sta., Houma, the recommendations include the spraying of infected plant canes (where the incidence does not exceed 2%) with garlon (1 gal./4 gal. diesel fuel) and their subsequent destruction, and the use on heavily infested properties of mosaic-free 'seed' of vars.
