Assessing milkability from data on evenness of milking (determined by a modified method using 2 coupled claw pieces and connections to 2 normal milking buckets to obtain the ratio of yield from front: back quarters) together with data on average flow rate is claimed to be simpler and cheaper than basing assessment on the use of the quarter milking machine.
