Records of Ixodes apronophorus P. Sch. in the Moscow region and observations in a natural focus of tularaemia.

Med. Parazit, Moscow, 30: 3, 304-305

Ixodes apronophorus Schulze is reported for the first time from the Moscow region; 16 males and one female were found in 1954-57 on water voles (Arvicola terrestris) in forest zones in the north and east; Microtus spp. were not infested. Observations in a natural focus of tularaemia in 1956-57 snowed that the ticks attacked water voles from April to June, but were most active at the beginning of May; they attached themselves to the front part of the body.
