Recovery of virus from organs of chicks given Newcastle disease vaccine in drinking water

Strain F vaccine (Asplin's) was administered to chicks in the drinking water. The virus rapidly disappeared from the oral cavity and reappeared 12-48 hours after administration. The number of chicks from which virus was recovered varied directly with the conc, of virus in the vaccine.
