Recurrent selection. I. The detection of overdominance

Recurrent selection. I. The detection of overdominance

Heredity 14: 197-206

It is shown that a negative regression between (1) the performance of a sire's test-cross progeny and (2) the performance of either his full sisters or his pure strain progeny can only occur when overdominance is present, though a zero or negative regression does not necessarily imply absence of overdominance.
