The results of the national varietal trials of improved crop varieties Budapest, 343-68



Tests of three pungent and eight nonpungent varieties were conducted in various localities. Szegedi nem csipos 47-25 was the most productive in the Szeged district and under irrigated conditions, and Kalocsa E15, also nonpungent, was best in the Kalocsa district and under unirrigated conditions. New nonpungent varieties failed to equal the older varieties in yield or pigment content.
