Reducing labour by chemical weed control in lilies-of-the-valley

From the results of a small-scale experiment the following chlorpropham treatment is recommended for lilies-of-the-valley: first spray after planting in the autumn or early spring; second spray after soil cul- tivation at the end of June or the beginning of July; third spray after soil cultivation and weeding in the middle of October; fourth spray after soil cultivation and weeding in June/July of the second year.
