Relationship between CHAMPS physical activity questionnaire and functional fitness outcomes in older adults

Relationship between CHAMPS physical activity questionnaire and functional fitness outcomes in older adults

Activities, Adaptation and Aging 31(1): 19-40

The primary purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between the four self-reported measures of the Community Healthy Activities Model Program for Seniors (CHAMPS) questionnaire with the performance-based measures of the AAHPERD functional fitness test. Two groups of subjects were recruited for the study - an active-control cohort (n=16) of older adults that exercised regularly and an experimental group (n=34) of older adults that began an 8-week community program.
