Relationship between date of heading, plant height and tillering in three wheat crosses

Relationship between date of heading, plant height and tillering in three wheat crosses

Indian J. Genet, 19: 107-09

In a study at Corvallis, Ore., the varieties Alba, White winter and White Holland were crossed with Norm 10; correlation coefficients between date of heading, plant height and number of tillers were calculated in the F2 and F3 generations. Although the coefficients in some cases were statistically significant, they tended to be low in magnitude and inconsistent in different years.
