Abstract
The trials were conducted in 3 locations each about 300 m. a.s.l. but having different soil types. Pisum arvense was represented by Baltersbacher and Hodinger, P. sativum by Kleinwanzlebener, Zeiners Kurz und Gut and Waldmanns futter. freude. Yields of green fodder, dry matter, protein and seed were determined. Waldmanns futter. freude (admitted to the official list in 1953) produced the highest yield of green fodder and dry matter, but its protein content was low.
